3 new caps composed of Proteas T20, headed by Sri Lanka

Cape Town – Cricket South Africa (CSA) today called the reflective Titans Aiden Markram and the Warriors duo with a fast bowler hat Anrich Nortje and wicketkeeper / batsman Sinethemba Qeshile as new hats in the Proteas team for the three T20 International Series games against Sri Lanka, which start next week.

Markram and Nortje are included in all three matches, while the 20-year-old Qeshile was chosen only for the second and third matches.

"The first match is part of our vision 2019 to continue exploring our options for the ICC World Men's Championships" – commented Linda Zondi, national CSA selection committee, "and the team consists mainly of teams that perform duties in the ODI series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. We would like to include Hashima Amla, but unfortunately it remains unavailable due to the family situation.

"In the past, we used our international T20 matches as the first port to expand our talent pool. As a result, Rassie van der Dussen, Gihahn Cloete, Janneman Malan and Lutho Sipamla were transported by pipeline with considerable success this season.

"Sinethemba Qeshile has an exceptional debut season in the franchise cricket and is certainly one of the forms of frat cricket batsmans at the moment. It looks really exciting.

"JP Duminy will take over the last two matches and we will make a short break for Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi, who are involved in all three formats for Proteas", summarized Mr. Zondi.
