If you have $ 375,000 and want to rule your neighborhood, Hennessey has embraced you.
It was slightly less than a year ago when we first learned about this monstrous pickup from Hennessey called Goliath. Based on the Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss from 2019. Of course, the truck has several less improvements and by that we mean marauding at the level rarely seen in the world of automotive aftermarket. When Hennessey first announced the truck in September 2018, it was just a series of renderings, but a Texas-based store now has a real Goliath on the street and it looks like it's even more frightening in traffic.
For starters, yes, this is the actual 6×6 version. Hennessey completely changes the rear suspension of the additional axle, and all four wheels in the rear transfer power to the ground. Hennessey also builds a special bed with a dangerous headband to accommodate extra rubber, and is lifted eight inches into the air with a large lifting set. The 20-inch Hennessey wheels are padded with 37-inch BFG off-road tires, and the storage bumpers are replaced by Hennessey components.
It seems, however, that not everything is the same as we were told in September. The truck was originally announced with a large increase in power to 705 horsepower (526 kilowatts), which according to Hennessey can send a 6-wheel vehicle to 60 mph in an amazing 4.5 seconds. This truck is much more modest under the hood, it can boast only 450 hp thanks to the intake of cold air and throat exhaust expansions in stainless steel. We still see Brembo brakes behind large wheels, and the Goliath brand can be found both inside and outside.
When it comes to production, only 24 of these Silveradona monsters are planned to be built, at a cost of USD 375,000 each. The first one already has a buyer – a gentleman who, according to Hennessey, owns the largest potato farm in Wisconsin. This truck will undoubtedly carry it through potato fields, although at $ 375,000 we suspect that Goliath will play a less active role in its fleet.
