The Internet cares not for graphs. Epic Games has further nerfed the B.R.U.T.E. mech in response to continued complaints about it being too over powered and ruining the gaming experience for everyone. Everyone that got 'sploded by a mech, at least.
The ones doing the ’sploding were probably having a real good time. Epic first responded to all the complaints by reducing the frequency of B.R.U.T.E. spawns and introducing the Junk Rift, a weapon that was meant to help people fight back. They also told everyone that their data showed that the mechs weren't even affecting the game that much.
Still, the complaints persisted. So, now, with a recent update, the B.R.U.T.E. mechs have been more significantly nerfed. Besides reduced spawning rates, the mechs now fire fewer missiles, at a slower rate, with a reduced damage radius on impact. Players controlling the mechs can also no longer pick up materials while stomping around or dashing and the dash cooldown has been increased.
Their firepower may have been reduced, but the B.R.U.T.E.s will be a little more difficult to take down, as the update also increases their health from 1,000 to 1,250.
The Junk Rift has also been temporarily removed from the Arena, due to an audio issue.
