SANTO DOMINGO. The Governor of the Central Bank, Héctor Valdez Albizu, will analyze the Dominican economy and supervise the financial system in accordance with the law of money laundering and terrorist financing during the 52nd Annual Assembly of the Latin American Federation of Banks (Felaban), which will bring together over 1,600 bankers.
The event, which takes place under the coordination of the Commercial Banks of the Dominican Republic (ABA) and Felaban, will take place on 11-14 November at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana International Congress Center.
The assembly gathers delegates from over 40 countries, mainly from Latin America, the United States, Europe and Asia.
Experts will discuss economic and financial issues so that the participating entities strengthen their business relationships at the international level.
At the end, the new president Felabana will be announced.
They will present, among others representatives of the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), the World Bank and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
