The Air Safety Police (PSA) arrested an 18-year-old Salta girl who tried to smuggle cocaine into Ushuaia, according to the agency and the Nation's Security Ministry.
The "Target White" operation was carried out by the PSA as part of the "Argentina without drug trafficking" program and according to this agency the woman was stopped in routine checking when the baggage was analyzed using a scanner.
The woman who came from Salta and traveled with her juvenile daughter was to set out on a journey to the capital of Tierra del Fuego.
Inside his wallet were two packs of 530 grams of cocaine and a cell phone.
After the surgery, the young woman was arrested, detained in isolation and at the disposal of the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Drugs.
"The daily work of federal forces at terminals and airports is of strategic importance for combating drug trafficking, we have specialized staff and state-of-the-art equipment to detect and administer drugs, and stop anesthetics who want to avoid control," said Security Minister Patricia Bullrich.
