The celestial body, known as 2018 VS1, with a width of 13 to 28 meters, reaches about one million 391 thousand 535 km (km) of the Earth's distance at the moment of its maximum approximation, indicates the text of NASA.
According to the trajectory, 16 minutes after passing 2018 VS1, another asteroid with a width of 14-30 meters, named 2018 VR1, will go to five million 66 thousand 418 km from Earth, adds the letter.
The second body, identified under the name 2018 VX1, with a width of approximately 8-18 meters, will approach 380,000 160 kilometers, slightly less than the average distance between Earth and the Moon (384,000,400).
According to experts, with over 750,000 asteroids in our solar system, 1,800 have – in astronomical terms – orbits near the Earth, so the danger of an impact is real.
