The day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday in the USA and is considered the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. In the US, this day is considered one of the strongest shopping days of the year because retailers offer particularly high discounts. The trend has also spread to the European area, more and more dealers, also in Austria, joined major discount campaigns.
Shopping madness before the start of Christmas
While in the US, people spend hours waiting for shopping to get the best deals, in Austria you can buy all the offers from the comfort of your home on a new comparative portal that has been specially created for this shopping period. The independent www.black-friday.at promises immediate price comparison and wants to help customers decide to buy.
The "Amazon Cyber Monday" week will take place this year on November 19-26, 2018. Black Friday will be celebrated on November 23, 2018 at Amazon. Bon black-friday.at experts expect a countdown to "Cyber Monday" with "excellent offers" for up to a week. Thus, the biggest shopping event of the year – Black Friday and Cyber Monday may start next Monday, November 12, 2018.
Incidentally, in 2017 there were over 55,000 flash offers in 5-minute series in limited numbers and with a 50% discount issued by Amazon throughout the week from 6:00 to 19:45. Offers are available for a maximum of 6 hours (or while stocks last) and are only available to Prime customers for 30 minutes.
Who runs black-friday.at?
Behind Black-Friday.at there is an experienced platform team sparhamster.at and urlaubshamster.at. Founder Christoph Prinzinger: "We have been working with most dealers for many years and at an early stage receive information about offers, so that we can compare prices at the start of each transaction."
Bargain hunters, Prinzinger, advise: "Not every offer promoted is in fact one. In any case, it's worth taking a look at the price around Black Friday."
