At the table, he wants only the best. At the stove too. And not only because "Kochsalon" by Martina Hohenlohe stands in the middle of the editorial team of the Austrian culinary guide Gault & Millau. From there, her blog has been coming for two years. And then she comes, she has just appeared, her second cookbook.

Both are called "My wonderful cooking salon" – which is not accidentally reminiscent of Stephen Frear's "Wonderful Laundromat". "For me – says a passionate cook – it's not just about cooking, but also about people and their stories." In addition, he invites "professionals" to the stove. Therefore, it is very clear: "This must be a simple housewife kitchen, with ingredients that you will also get in the supermarket." And: "It must be regional, I will not make strawberry cake in November!"

For crumble with apples, "old-fashioned" or stew of deer or Kaiserschmarren or pasta. Or: roasted chicken from risibisi ("then my family shouted this Sunday"). Or: "the best potato salad in the world".

The publisher Gault Millau has collected 150 of his favorite recipes on 224 pages of his "Kochsalon" cookbook. Thanks to cheerful photos, celebrities and very personal comments.
