This Saturday evening, TF1 broadcast the edition of the NRJ Music Awards 2020. The health crisis obliges, this year there was no audience for the ceremony. The latter also took place in the Seine musical in Paris, away from the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, where the awards ceremony is usually held.
The performances of the artists were also pre-recorded. Only the award ceremony took place on Saturday, a few hours before the ceremony. To ensure the atmosphere was right, TF1 decided to broadcast recordings of crowd sounds throughout the ceremony. Applause, shouts, cheers, “public noise” were omnipresent, to the point where the viewers were very irritated.
