Revolut introduces Apple Pay in Bulgaria

Revolut today announced that it has launched Apple Pay for its customers in Bulgaria, as well as in 11 other countries: Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. Revolut customers from 28 markets can now make quick and convenient purchases in stores, applications and websites using Apple Pay for iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac.

Payments using Apple Pay are faster than conventional debit and credit card payments and can be contactless via the iPhone, Apple Watch or Safari on a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air with Touch ID, eliminating the need to search for a wallet.

Users can add their Revolut cards to Apple Pay via the Revolut mobile app or the Wallet app. In addition, non-physical card clients can add a virtual card to the Apple Wallet with a few taps from the Revolut app and start making instant payments without having to wait for the physical card to arrive. As a result, new customers can register and use Apple Pay in a few minutes.
Security and privacy are the foundation of Apple Pay. If you use a Revolut debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on either the device or the Apple servers. Instead, a unique account number is created, encrypted and stored in the Secure Element chip on this device. In this way, each transaction is done using a one-time, dynamic security code.
"Revolut strives to provide its clients with a convenient tool to manage every aspect of their financial life, and the ability to make quick and secure payments is a key milestone in achieving this goal. Our users from all over Europe have long wanted Apple Pay, so we are happy that we can provide services both in Bulgaria and in other countries. This is a very positive step forward so that even more customers can use their money as they want, "said Arthur Johanett, head of the card payment department at Revolut.

Using the iPhone & # 39; and Apple Watch, customers can pay with Apple Pay in stores, restaurants, taxis, vending machines and many other places. When shopping in Apple Pay applications on the web or via the Safari browser, you do not have to manually fill in long account forms or enter shipping and billing information multiple times. Every purchase of Apple Pay is certified with just one look or touch Face ID or Touch ID or, of course, the password of this device.
