Laurer was found dead at her home in Redondo Beach, California on April 20, 2016. Since then, there have been calls for WWE to introduce Chyna, the only woman in history who has maintained the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the WWE Hall of Fame.
In May of the same year, WWE CBO Stephanie McMahon said TMZ Sports that Chyna will be at the Hall of Fame "at some point in the future."
