Deepika Padukone expressed her interest in joining Marvel Cinematic Universe and playing a superhero in the Avengers series, but the character must be of Indian descent.
The 33-year-old actor, who was recently in London to reveal his wax figure at Madame Tussauds, talked to Metro.co.uk and said the world is ready for the story of a superhero that comes from India.
Asked if she would like to be part of the MCU, Deepika replied: "Yes, of course. Why not? I mean, I'd say it comes from India. So whether it's Marvel or the Avengers, or do you know any of the cult characters we've seen in the cinema, I think it would be very interesting. And I think the world is ready to see one of these superheroes coming from India. I believe that it will happen soon. I know it will be so. "
