Google is increasing the availability of its recruitment application to Canada (and the UK).
The search giant first launched the application in the US in July 2017. The rental creates a single-point recruitment desk for corporate clients.
In addition, as part of G Suite, Google's cloud computing, productivity and collaboration software, Hire seamlessly integrates seamlessly with other G Suite applications.
For example, emails and calendar invitations sent by Hire automatically synchronize with Gmail and Calendar respectively. Similarly, Hire users can track and visualize candidate data through Spreadsheets.
Google says it has spent the last few months testing rental with various Canadian companies, including Mirego, a consulting firm based in Quebec City.
According to data collected by Deliotte and cited by Google, filling an open corporate position takes an average of 52 days, and about 4,000 USD for an interview and evaluation of potential employees.
The company hopes that renting will help companies improve the recruitment process.
