San Francisco, March 16: The Microsoft software giant plans to increase the maximum number of people that can be part of a Skype group call with 25 to 50 members. With this update, Skype also allows audio and video buttons in larger groups to allow users to easily mute microphones or turn on and off webcams according to their convenience. Engadget volunteered on Friday. Microsoft launches Refreshed Skype for the Internet.

Keeping the optional ringing function, the Skype version 8.41.76.55 notifies users of an incoming call by sending a group notification.

"When you start a group conversation, it will send a notification instead of calling all members, so as not to disturb those who can not join" – the company wrote on the blog. These features have been made available to beta testers on all platforms and are likely to be disseminated later.
