This morning Conaf settled in two fires in Manquehue 3, registered in the municipality of Vitacura, in the Metropolitan Region, in the province of Agua del Palo, which touched an area of 6 hectares.
In the fire, according to informed Hugo Castillo, head of the forest fire control department who is not around his circuit, he worked three brigades, three planes and three helicopters (ferry and transport), in addition to the body of firefighters, six units.
The work of the brigades was complicated due to the steep topography of the terrain, the inclination to 90 °.

Similarly, in the Metropolitan Region in the municipality of Quilicura, in the early morning hours, a forest fire of Cerro Renca 5 was recorded, which concerned the area of 3.5 hectares (initial figure) of grasslands and eucalyptus plantations, which after the work of brigade Conaf and firemen were extinguished. Similarly, in the morning hours, the Los Peumos Fundos forest fire occurred in the Valparaíso district, which affected an area of 0.8 hectares. The incident threatened the Penuelas Lake Reservoir (200 m), which led to the activation of a common red alarm, after a hard working hour the fire was monitored.
