There are two letters that President Sebastián Piñera sent to his family Camilo Catrillanca November 20: one to father and the other to grandfather. However, they never reached his hands.
According to El Mercurio, in a letter addressed to Marcelo Catrillanca, father of a murdered member of the community, Piñera expressed his solidarity and regretted the "difficult times" for what the family is going through.
Then he said "absolute security as the president of Chile, who our government will tirelessly seek the truth about the unfortunate events that meant the loss of his son's life, until he was fully explained and until justice was done. "
When it was announced near the date that the government had sent these letters, this was rejected by the Catrillanca family because they claimed they had not received any letters.
Now, spokeswoman Cecilia Pérez confirmed in the morning paper that the letters never reached the hands of Marcelo and Juan Catrillanka, because "People who could give them to them and who were entrusted with this task did not want or could not (…) ".
In this context, he added that after regaining the letters by the government it was decided that the best thing is not insistence.
