There is still time to get vaccinated against influenza

Since the start of the Jalisco influenza vaccination campaign (in October), 697 thousand 602 doses have been used, 58% of which are 200,000 targets for the winter; and although it is important to use it over time to prevent this, two months of low temperatures still last and it is never too late to vaccinate.

Particularly vulnerable groups, over 60 years and under 5 years old, must have this vaccine to avoid getting the flu.

According to dr. Alberto Ocampo Chavarría, coordinator of the state of the health program for adults and the elderly from the Ministry of Health of Jalisco, so far this year there were 9 cases of people with influenza (of all types) without death; in 2017 there were 6 cases.

Keep in mind that the secretariat's health care units throughout the state should be open this holiday season and the vaccine can be used.
