KOMPAS.com – Movistar Yamaha rider, Maverick Vinales, chose his favorite motorbike to start in MotoGP in 2019.

Vinales tested two Yamaha motorcycles when they dominated the two IRTA test sessions that took place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia, Spain, November 20-21, 2019.

Regarding the results mentioned in the IRTA test, Maverick Vinales claimed to have developed the performance of his Yamaha M1 motorcycle.

"I worked on a motorcycle with the team yesterday (Tuesday) and on the motorcycle I tested today (Wednesday), there are some differences," said Vinales, quoted by BolaSport.com from March.

"The difference between the two engines is that one engine has better engine braking and the other engine has more power," said Vinales.

Based on the experience of this test, Vinales has established his favorite motorcycle to race next season.

"I prefer a motor with a good engine brake, because Yamaha is working on improving performance when turning," said the Spaniard.

"In the speed sector, we did not encounter any obstacles, so when I lost some time, I could not record a lot of fun," he said.

"That's why I always repeat the engine brake, which is a very important aspect for me," he added.
