Merate: Auchan via Bergamo is one of 109 supermarkets saved by Conad

Merate hypermarket

The future of supermarkets belonging to the French group Auchan Retail in the Lecco area should be outlined, which is now known to be in the hands of Conad. According to the latest rumors, the store in Vicolo san Giacomo, the intersection of the central part of Rome, in Lecco, may, however, have a different purpose. The small store, until now the MyAuchan brand, could in fact have been taken over by a network other than Conad, although at first it appeared to be on the list of the first 109 supermarkets that will pass from the French group to the Italian cooperative by February. A path that will certainly follow the Merate hypermarket, as confirmed by Fisascat Cisl Lecco secretary Roberto Frigerio. There are ambiguities regarding Simply di Barzanò. "In this case, Conad has not yet expressed himself," explained Frigerio. "The picture shows this Auchan of Merate, which will move to the CIA (Independent Associated Merchants), which will then hand over to the board of MGS Hypermarkets SRL (both companies from the Conad Group, ed.). At national level, therefore, it appears that the company and the unions have reached agreement on the management of redundancies, which should take place under the voluntary mobility procedure. "
