An interesting and somewhat mysterious message that once appeared in Halloween. In particular, researchers came up with a statement that they saw for the first time how a black hole absorbs matter. What's more, it's not just a black hole, but one that's in our galaxy called the Milky Way, in the middle. In addition, the solar system (and, therefore, each of us), similar to the path of the game, moves slowly around the galactic axis centered on the black hole.

For the first time, the existence of black holes was theoretically demonstrated already in 1915.

This was done by the German physicist Karl Schwarzschild in the analysis of the recently published equations of relativity theory Albert Einstein. From them it appears that the material can be pressed so much that heavier bodies of great density are formed. So much so that their gravitational field can not overcome even light.

Now we understand that some stars begin to shrink after nuclear reactions, "fall in their own way" and finally create a black hole. Features of the black hole are the most fantastic hypotheses (which are not completely unfounded) that they can give the opportunity to travel in space and the time in which they hide the gate to other universes. A mysterious phenomenon that inspired countless novels and science fiction movies.

Physicists also realized that you can not directly see the black holes, we only see indirect evidence. For example, unusual gravitational anomalies. Eventually, astronomers at the Southern European Observatory in the Atacam Desert in Chile were able to observe and capture spiral gas structures that revolve around the circle at an enormous speed of about 100,000 kilometers per second and then suddenly disappear virtually everywhere.

Everyone agrees that this is just a series of black holes that absorb matter. The image is very similar to what we see, leaving the water out of the bathtub – the water in the tub disappears in the sewer pipe. Observations have been made in the eye in the invisible infrared spectrum, so because of the publicity, the pictures are artificially colored.

Question: what will happen to us? If not with us, then with our sun. Nothing good, will eventually disappear in the black hole. But there are two good news. In one of his last works, the British physicist Steven Hawking, who just died, showed that

Due to the regularity of quantum physics, black holes are slowly evaporating.

Not as fast as suck it, but still.

The second good news is that our solar system is on the outskirts of the galaxy, and its center and dangerous black hole separates us from 26,000 light years. It's a huge distance – 246 times 10 with fifteen zeros per kilometer. So for now we can be calm. Indeed, sometimes it is better to live in a province than in a metropolis.
