Most with infections of the upper respiratory tract in Jelgava, Ventspils and Jurmala :: zz.lv

The highest incidence of upper respiratory tract infections was recorded in Jelgava, Ventspils and Jurmala, according to the latest monitoring data from the Center for Prevention and Control of Diseases (SPCC).

SPKC is monitored weekly, including ten areas.

Compared to the previous week monitoring the incidence of the upper
respiratory infections have increased in the Gulbene, Jurmala and Jekabpils regions,
Riga and Liepaja.

However, the highest is in Ventspils, where the average number of people was 1834 per 100,000 inhabitants, in Jurmala – 1 821 people per 100,000, and in Jelgava – 1111 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Children under the age of four are most affected.
