KUANTAN: Registration for a public hearing, which will take place at the Lynas government executive committee, is now open.

The Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change has stated that those who want to take part can register at https://tinyurl.com/lynashearing from Monday (November 5) to midnight on November 9.

The Ministry stated in a statement that the purpose of the hearing was to obtain explanations from all interested parties in this issue, including Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd, non-governmental organizations, government agencies and experts in the fields of environmental management, public health and radioactive safety.

"In addition, members of the public who want to participate must stick to the label and can not bring banners, posters and dangerous items," it said.

He added that the audience can also watch the live audition on the ministry's Facebook page.

The hearing will take place at Bukit Gambang Resort City in Gambang near here from 9am to 11 November.

Minister Yeo Bee Yin recently announced the members of the executive review committee, who became familiar with aspects of safety, health and the environment, as well as planned landfilling at Lynas Advanced Materials Plant (LAMP).

The committee had six weeks to review, and then submitted a report and recommendations to the government.
