Monday’s penumbra lunar eclipse will not be visible in India | India News



INDORE: A. moon eclipse will be held on Monday but will not be seen in India as it would be here this afternoon, an official from the Jiwaji Observatory in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh said.
The “Halftone Lunar Eclipse” will start at 12:59:09 and will last until 17:25:09 on Monday, Rajendraprakash Gupt– said the director of the observatory on Sunday.
“A semi-shadow lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, earth and align the moon almost in a straight line. The earth blocks some of the sunlight from reaching the moon’s surface and partially covers the moon with the outer part of its shadow, also known as partial shade, ”explained Gupt.
