According to the Chinese media, which refer to the National Space Administration of China, a container with two kilograms of rock was transferred to the module.
The rock sample capsule is expected to land in the Inner Mongolia region by the middle of this month.
These will be the first lunar surface samples obtained by scientists since the Luna 24 probe in the Soviet Union in 1976.
