The 72nd Cannes Film Festival ended with the victory of the South Korean film "Parasites" by Pon Joon Ho. He received the Golden Palm from the jury chaired by the Mexican director Alejandro González Inarritu who works in Hollywood.

This prize is first sent to South Korea. Last year, the Japanese buyer received the Golden Palm.

"Parasites" – the most unusual picture in this competition. She is equally unexpected in the filmography of her director Pon Joon Ho. Two years ago, in a modest competition in Cannes, he presented the game "Okcha" with elements of animation, although it was well thought out. Its producer was Brad Pitt. But for Korean cinematography, "Parasites" are in many respects even traditional, traditional cinemas that perfectly reflect the mentality of people. This is one of the strongest cinematographs, but one we rarely remember, except that a new work by Kim Ki Duk appears. And there are many decent names.

"Parasites" tell in a bright, grotesque form about the abyss separating the poor and the rich. The impoverished family living in the basement is gradually being introduced into the life of a respectable family. It all ends amazingly. So much that nothing similar to European or, for example, Tarantino, for which many have not won the main prize, and who is also a master of bloodshed on the screen, will never come to mind. But his long-awaited movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is marked only with "Palm Tree" for dogs – Palm Dog. The award went to Brandy & # 39; pitbull, which was brought up on screen by a brave stuntman in the brilliant performance of Brad Pitt.

Grand Prix was awarded to Mati Diop from Senegal. She made one of the most exotic and perfect pictures of a competitive program – Atlantic. The best two directors are the famous brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne from Belgium, representing the film "Young Ahmed", filmed in their corporate style.

"Pain and glory" by Pedro Almodovar also predicted the "Golden Palm". But the picture of the Spanish genius is marked as the "Silver Palm" for the best acting work and he went to Antonio Banderas, who almost became the alter ego of his favorite director. "Best Actress" – Emily Beecham from Great Britain in "Little Joe", filmed by Austrian director Jessica Hausner.

The jury's prize is black, born in France to Ladja Lee and "Bakurau" by Brazilian directors Kleber Mendons Filo and Julian Dornel.

Spezzriz went to the Palestinian tape "This must be a paradise" by Elia Suleimana.

The award for the best screenplay was received by Frenchwoman Celine Sciamma for "Portrait of a Young Woman in Fire", which she herself did with her lover in the lead role. The "golden palm branch" for the short film was awarded to the Greek "Distance between heaven and us" by Vasilis Kekatos.

"Golden Camera" for the best debut went to the movie "Our Mothers" by César Diaz, who participated in the program "Film Critics Week." The jury of this prize is considering debuts in all programs.

Russian director Kantemir Balagov awarded the best director's work for the film "Dilda" the day before the jury of the "Special View" competition. But when he was no longer in Cannes, the award went to his producer Alexander Rodnyansky. Even so, Cantemir had to return to the Côte d'Azur to receive the prize of the FIPRESCI International Federation of Film Press. Two years ago, he received a similar award for the film "Toughness", which also participated in "Special Look".
