His royal highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, inaugurated seven strategic projects in the fields of renewable energy, nuclear energy, water desalination, gene therapy and the aerospace industry during his visit to King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology On Monday.

Projects that favor the Crown Prince include three major projects, including the first nuclear research reactor and aerospace development center.

After arriving at the headquarters of the city, he was received by the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih and the President of the city, His Majesty the Prince of Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed.

His Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, visited the City of King Abdulaziz for Science and Technology (KACST) and inaugurated the Central Laboratory of the Saudi Human Genome, which documents the first genetic map of Saudi society. Installation for desalination of thermal water in Al Khafji with a capacity of 60,000 m3 / day, two production lines for solar panels and cells, laboratory for testing the reliability of solar panels in Al Ain, meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 certificate and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)

Among the designs preferred by His Majesty the Crown Prince puts a cornerstone for the construction of a desalination plant in the city of Yanbu with a solar energy of 5,200 cubic meters per day. It is the first industrial application model that uses desalination technology. It is the first nuclear research reactor in the Kingdom, which laid the cornerstone for the construction of an aircraft construction center located at King Khalid International Airport.

After arriving in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), His Highness, Crown Prince reviewed the city's strategy and objectives to invest and develop research by coordinating national activities in science, technology and innovation, research and development policies and strategies innovation, scientific and technological development in the Kingdom, in addition to supporting innovation, and strengthening local, regional and international cooperation and partnerships in technology transfer and location.

He also informed about satellite projects, including Saudi Sat 5A and Saudi Sat 5B, the second generation of the most accurate remote sensing satellites in Saudi Arabia, and listened to the explanation of a safe national wave of tactical communication systems (MOF-303) that can absorb water from the atmosphere at low humidity, making it suitable for dry areas with low water resources, as well as for projects T Vital projects of faith, energy and water.
