Dakar, October 2 (APS) – The presidents of the Turkish and Senegalese parliaments are willing to deepen the relations between the two institutions on Friday, following the "very strong" cooperation between the two governments. countries.
Binali Yildirim and Moustapha Niasse expressed this desire at the end of the working meeting on Friday at the conference hall of the Parliament.
The delegations from the two countries discussed issues related to cooperation and friendship between the two countries, especially the two parliamentary institutions.
The Turkish National Assembly has already elected President and members of the Senegalese-Turkish Friendship Society, said President Binali Yildirim, rejoicing that the Senegalese website will do the same.
"Very rich exchanges (…) The relations between Senegal and Turkey are constantly evolving (…)," said Binali Yildirim.
Many development projects are carried out by the Senegalese Turkish companies, he said, referring to health, sports, infrastructure, etc.
Relations between Senegal and Turkey have come to a new stage since the last visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Dakar, said Binali Yildirim.
On the occasion of the March visit, the two countries signed four agreements on rail, tourism, hydrocarbons and mines.
A total of 28 agreements have been signed between the two countries, President Binali Yildirim, for $ 400 billion in trade.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen relations between the two bodies, given the "highly developed" government cooperation.
President Moustapha Niasse welcomed the visit of her Turkish counterpart, before stressing that the goal of "parliamentary diplomacy" is to support governments in implementing development policies.
In this regard, the Parliament is doing everything to "expand and strengthen" the bilateral relations between Senegal and its government and institutional partners, Moustapha Niasse assured.
