Actress Virginie Ledoyen will head the jury of the 10th Queer Palm, an independent award that rewards a film from the Cannes Film Festival reminiscent of LGBT issues, organizer AFP said.
Founded in 2010 by journalist Franck Finance-Madureira, Queer Palm is the Cannes equivalent to the "Teddy Awards", the LGBT prizes awarded during the Berlinale.
The Queer Palm 2018 was awarded by the young Belgian director Lukas Dhont with the feature film "Girl", which tells the true story of a girl who dreams of a ballerina.
The 2019 jury will bring together filmmaker Claire Duguet, who has worked with Agnès Varda, French actress Kee-Yoon Kim and Brazilian filmmakers Filipe Matzembacher and Marcio Reolon since 2001, including the new film "Hard Paint" (Berliner Teddy Award). 2018) will be published on 15 May in France.
