NEW YORK, 10 November (TASR) – The US stock market rose to week one week, though the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell to 0.79% on Friday (9.11) to 25.989, 30 points. Compared to Friday, however, it strengthened by 2.8%. Since the previous sharp fall at the end of October, it has increased by almost 8%.
Investors reduced the Friday's fall in the index mainly due to weaker results of some technology companies in the third quarter. Many people are also worried about the fall in oil prices in the global market. According to them, this may be a signal that in the short term the American boom will weaken. The latest stable data had almost no impact at the end of the week on positive changes in stock prices. Meanwhile, consumer sentiment deteriorated less in November than analysts expected.
The broad S & P 500 concept decreased by 0.92% to 2781.1 points.
The Nasdaq 100 technological index dropped by 1.67% to 7039.15 points.
