A wreck of minerals in Skåne – Kristianstadsbladet

In southeastern Skåne, anger causes the British company to have eleven revealing states of the state of Berg to find the presence of vanadium. It is a mineral that is used to make electronic products. Anger is the most stupid thing in relation to the legislation on which the State of Berg bases its decision: Mineral Law.

Its roots date back to 1637, when Bergsstaten was founded under the direction of Axel Oxenstierna. Bergsstaten is a decision-making body belonging organisationally to the SGU (Swedish geological survey). The law allows Swedish as well as foreign companies to investigate and break down minerals on Swedish soil without appropriate landowners or municipalities that have the right of veto to prevent this. The licenses cover eleven areas from Gislövshammar No. 1 in the south to Hörby No. 1 in the north and cover four municipalities. Despite the fact that Skåne's municipalities and district authorities agreed with the state of affairs, the state of Berg granted them. A total of about 4 400 lands and landowners were notified of drilling drilling decisions.

A large number of them appealed against the decision to the administrative court, but the drilling can be started before they are processed.

The opposition in fact evokes interference in an environment in which tourism and agriculture together with its small soil are important factors for the inhabitants. But several appeals also concern the seriousness of the company, Scandivanadium Ltd in London, owned by two men, 34 and 37, established in March 2018, where one is employed as a manager for fund management and a second broker. The share capital is 1000, – pound. Funding will be carried out by stakeholders in Australia, where legislation on mineral degradation has been significantly tightened in recent years. If there is a breach of trade regulations, the property owners will be replaced by a full 0.15%, and the state will receive 0.05% of the spoiled value.

We hope that in our environment there will be no vanadium, coal or other minerals that could attract the test seed. Certainly, drilling can not be carried out closer than 200 meters from a residential building without the consent of the mountain master (read Bergsstaten).

For those who want to read more about what SGU has over 18,000 boreholes registered in our country or how Bergsstaten works, both have interesting websites. Are you interested in learning about the current test exercises that are about to happen?

From December 1, 2018. Until April 1, 2019. This can be done on the site of the local protest association, vetoNu.se. There you can also report your disapproval for the current Mineral Law.
