Just before 4 pm on Sunday, the police were warned about a road accident on the motorway outside Kopparberg in the municipality of Ljusnarsberg.
According to the police, two cars collided with each other. One family, two adults and three children traveled in one of the cars. In this car, a man was clamped for a moment before the emergency service managed to get rid of him.
"He is seriously injured," said Jan Matérne, a police officer in the Bergslagen region to the TT news agency.
Another person is seriously injured, according to a press release from the university hospital in Örebro. The condition for the others is assessed as good depending on the circumstances.
Two adults were traveling in the second car.
The police started a preliminary investigation into road negligence. The cars were taken over to carry out further technical tests.
