For the third time Esperance de Tunis won the African crown in club football after a strong performance in the final match of the CAF second division with Al Ahly. With 3: 0 in front of the audience, the Tunisians beat again 1: 3 from the first match in Egypt. Esperance will represent the African continent at the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
From the very beginning, the hosts dominated the match at Stade Olympique de Rades, but Saad Bguir managed to beat goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy after Taha Yassine Khenissi's great work only during an injury in the first game.
Bguir headed home in 54 minutes and Sameh Derbali crossed in 2-0. In the end, it's Anice Badri, who allowed the local fans to finally celebrate with a counter-attack.
