Today, over a million of our teachers meet students from afar because of the coronavirus. 20 million students are putting their teachers online for the first time this year. Perhaps for the first time this year, we understand the value of our teachers in face-to-face education during the pandemic process.
It’s hard to describe … Explain the importance of our teachers who try to grow dozens of young trees for new generations. Nevertheless, the following words by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk best describe the vital duty of our dedicated teachers to every segment of society: “Teachers; You will train a new generation of dedicated teachers and educators in the republic, and the new generation will be yours. “
Again, as director Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said: “The only artist who does not have a signature on his work is the teacher.”
The word of Mahmut Hoc, who gave life to the great artist Münir Özkul, is also recalled. “The school is not only a place surrounded on all four sides by walls, with a roof at the top. School is everywhere. ” Writing this line in the Hababam Classroom, which was followed from generation to generation, it was not thought that the schools would move home after years. Now is the time for teachers to make more sacrifices. And teachers miss more students.
In fact, the Minister of National Education, Ziya Selçuk, in the message of Teachers’ Day, emphasized the period in which we live and said: “In this process, your importance and value in the eyes of society have again come true, your prestigious place has gained strength.”
Here, Teachers’ Day is an important day that makes us rethink and understand the value of these dedicated teachers.
Happy Teacher’s Day to all our teachers.
