Beginning of work of the BP commission regarding Gandzyuk: first results

Today, on November 8, the work of the temporary committee for the murder of Yekaterina Gandzyuk and other activists began.

In addition to deputies, representatives of the public movement and friends of Katarzyna participated in the founding meeting.

The members of the investigation committee are 18 deputies. The nondescript deputy, Borislav Bereza, became its chairman and Elena Sotnik from the Samopomies became the secretary.

At the inaugural meeting of the Ad Hoc Investigation Committee, it was discussed which city should be the first major meeting.

Many MPs think that it should be held in Kherson, where the tragedy happened to Katerina Gandzyuk.

There are also many representatives of people who offer Odessa, because there was also a series of attacks on activists.

Members of the Commission have long been in favor of the number of cases that the investigative commission must take under its wing to ensure that the investigation of the attacks is of high quality.

They never reached a consensus.

The next meeting of the committee will take place on Thursday, November 15, at 10:00.

"I am very disappointed that the Provisional Commission to investigate attacks on activists was created only after the death of Katarzyna, we demand that Antonia Gerashchenko not be a member of the commission, repeatedly provided false information about this matter" – said Marina Khromykh, girl of Katarzyna Gandzyuk.

Deputies noted that it is almost impossible to exclude Geraschenko, because the commission was elected on a proportional basis and voted for its composition in the Verkhovna Rada.

A temporary committee of inquiry should present the results of its activities in February.
