From November 24, traffic will be limited on several streets in the center of Kiev due to preparations for the New Year celebrations.

This is reported by the KSCA press service.

The New Year celebrations will start on December 15 at Sofiyskaya Square and the Vladimirsky Passage (from Mikhailovskaya Square to the intersection with Alla Tarasova Street), at Kontraktovaya Square, Piotr Sagaydachny Street (from Kontraktovaya Square to the intersection with Andreevskaya Street), and in areas adjacent to the entrances to the top and bottom station of the queue.

Thus, from 24 November, the installation of temporary facilities for ceremonies in these places will commence, from November 24, 2018 to January 24, 2019. It is necessary to limit the movement of vehicles along Vladimirski's passage on the right lane towards Mikhailovskaya Square. In addition, during this period, all types of transport will be prohibited along the Vladimir Passage (from Malaya Zhitomirskaya Street to Mikhailovsky Square).

In addition, during the celebration itself, there will also be a ban on traffic along the Vladimir Avenue and Vladimirska street (from number 23 on Sofiyevskaya street to Rylsky Lane):

  • December 19, 2018 – from 16 to 22;
  • December 24, 2018 – from 16:00 to 22:00;
