Rocío Finlay Ramírez Contreras, the sentimental partner of former Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Miguel Rodríguez Torres, was released on Wednesday. The information was issued by a lawyer and colleague The National in the state of Táchira, Bárbara Uzcátegui Sanz.
Ramírez Contreras spent several months detained in the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence, located in the urbanization of Boleíta in Caracas and, according to journalist Fernando Tineo, he was transferred to the headquarters of the National Institute of Women's Orientation.
Ramírez Contreras, 43, was arrested on May 12 by Dgcim officials in La Grita, in the state of Táchira. He was accused of being a partner in the flight plan of a former minister and other security officers, which took place on the 9th of this month.
The general's couple was transferred to the headquarters of the military agency on the day of his arrest and presented to the National Prosecutor's Office 38, under the direction of prosecutor Wladimir Enrique Angel Aguilera. Journalist Elyangélica González pointed to her account Twitter that Ramirez Contreras did not allow his family or lawyers to visit.
Gonzalez said that, according to Dgcim sources, a former political prisoner was tortured and sexually assaulted to the point that officials put items into her vagina. This situation strongly affected his health.
