Michael Owen believes all three English teams participating in the Europa League will win their home games this week.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester City got off to a good start with victories in their first games in their groups.
The gunners came out from behind to beat Rapid Vienna 2-1, Spurs easily beat LASK 3-0, and Leicester beat Zorya Lugansk 3-0 last week.
Arsenal will face Irish minnow Dundalk on Thursday night, and speaking to Bet Victor, Owen predicted there could be beatings on the cards.
“The Gunners have worked hard to win against Rapid Vienna and will aim to score no less than the maximum number of points here,” said Owen.
– If the hosts are in full flight, I can see an Irish long night ahead. Arsenal 5-0 Dundalk.
Meanwhile, the Spurs travel to the Belgian side of Royal Antwerp, and Owen believes that while it won’t be as easy for them as their North London rivals, it should still be a relatively comfortable night for Jose Mourinho’s squad.
“Tottenham returned to the track this weekend with a well-deserved away victory at Burnley,” added Owen.
– Spurs will come to this with the full confidence that they can score all 3 points. With Kane and Son on top of my game, I don’t see anything other than an away win here.
Owen predicted a similar result for Leicester who will face AEK Athens in Greece.
“Leicester rebounded from successive defeats with a win in Europe followed by an impressive strike and a win in the Emirates on Sunday,” he continued.
Talisman Jamie Vardy scored on his return, and this, coupled with James Maddison’s return to full fitness, means Lisy has a dangerous appearance.
“This should be a tougher test in Athens, but I think Brendan Rogers’ team will come out on top. Athens 1-2 Leicester.”
Regarding Scottish teams, Owen believes Rangers will defeat Lech Poznan 2-0, but believes Celtic will only be able to deal with a 1-1 draw at Lille.
